The Junk music workshop

This week we have had Arts week and we have had the opportunity to celebrate art across the curriculum!  We had lots of art work being completed and we were lucky to have a Junk music workshop, you would be surprised how many instruments can be made from Junk. Here are some pictures we would like to share with you... Enjoy.

Trip to the Cutty Sark

We had a fabulous day yesterday when we went to the Cutty Sark!  We learnt a lot of facts about the journey it took and the different countries the ship visited taking lots of tea and other goods. It was a scorcher of a day and we had lots of sunshine. We ended our journey with ice lollies on the way back to school! Here are some pictures of our trip, enjoy them like we did our trip.

Poetry in the sun!

We have been learning about Poetry and using The Magic Box by Kit Wright as inspiration.  We created our very own magic boxes and then began to work on what we would like in our magic box poems.  We wrote poems describing our own magic boxes and then to celebrate our work; held an open air forum where both year 3 classes performed their poems to each other in an open arena.  We had the sunshine, warmth and great company.  Here are a few pictures to celebrate our work on The Magic Box.
