Diwali day! Let the celebrations begin!!!

Yesterday, Year 3 celebrated Diwai Day! We did lots of creative activities, we made diva lamps from clay, Diwali cards for family and friends and we created our own henna hand designs. It was a very busy and productive day.  We watched the story of Rama and Sita and then we acted it out in groups.

We had a surprise guest who came in with her son to talk to us about how they celebrate Diwali and discuss the reasons they do the different traditions.  It was nice to get someone else's perspective who  knows what the celebration is about.
